Is it getting better? Fumiya Nakagawa

In my opinion equality especially in terms of salary, there has been remarkable developments. I surfed the internet and found wide range of problems and graphs that is connected to equality such as gender, race, and country. Obviously, massive number of charts described there are significant development of human equality in the world.

First of all, I would like to describe this graph.

This graph indicates percentages of women who work as director at listed enterprise between 2012 and 2022. Vertical axis shows how many people and horizontal axis means year. There is an amazing change that the number of women reader in 2022 is almost sextuple than that of 2012. That means the gap between male, and female is dramatically dwindling.

This data comes from Japanese cabinet of gender equality.

Then, I think gap between whit and black is also improving remarkably.

This graph is about income rise of African American between 2005 and 2013. This line graph describes how much they earn compares to 10 years ago. The rate of income is growing rapidly because more and more young people engage as labor forces and some of mid age person get promoted recent years. This movement also contributes improvement of gap about social status among them.

This data comes from Nielsen.

For the last graph I chose upward income mobility, by city and race. It also describes about white and black. It demonstrates huge polarization of them. As I wrote, income of black people is increasing significantly however, there is still a lot of problems in the world though.

This graph comes from CIGS

In conclusion, certainly human equality is improving steadily in terms of income. Although, we haven`t solve all problems about inequality.
