Library Visit Debrief -- Chien Nguyen

This morning, I came to one of the top-notch libraries at the University of Otago named The Robertson Library with my classmates and other students of EAP Class 2. Then, all of us were incredibly awe-inspiring and grateful for the presentation of Paula Whitelock. First of all, I was introduced to how to log in to my computer account; although some minor issues happened, I finally did it. Following that, she directed us to access Google Chrome to find the references for our relative topics.
After approximately 10-minute instruction and explanation, I was able to figure out my appropriate references. Through this session, I have learned several useful techniques in preparing for my upcoming seminar. Initially, there would be more convenient to quickly find out our favorite journal articles or ebooks by typing keywords related to our topics. Moreover, I could get a handle on further results by adding "OR" between these keywords. For example, "the climate change" OR "New Zealand weather events".
By doing this, it is "easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy" to find out and make a decision on choosing suitable references.
I hope you also enjoy this experience!

  1. Nice pic, Chien. I don't know if I would call finding relevant articles "easy peasy," but for sure Paula's information has helped us on our path to knowledge. David :-)
