My Ideal School -- Fumiya Nakagawa
In my opinion good relationships between teachers and students are important to construct an ideal school. Since, teacher especially class teacher oversees an entire class such as student’s grades, relationships, and problems which are caused by pupils, they need to stay close to the hearts and minds of students and show directions, so that they can configure an ideal school. I think that classes with some degree of control by the teachers work well. However, if teachers or mentors cuddle too close to their pupils, serious distortion might occur.
Firstly, in the above case
boundaries between students and teachers become blurred. Due to teachers having
a good relationship with their pupils, they become friends. They are not
preferable for students. It is considered that discipline in the classroom may
be disrupted on learning system because they are not friends. Secondly, it could interfere with the
students' ability to run a class. Students might rely on teachers too much, and
their spirit to be independent dose not grown in particular way.
To solve this
situation, I think a clear gap should be established between the two positions.
While constructing exciting and fun classes, teachers need to establish classes
that switch on and off in the classrooms. I am convinced the class that is
arranged by teachers and organized by students is the best way to accomplish learning
that is ideal.
You think about good point. Relationship between teachers and students is important!
ReplyDeleteGood opinion. but it is difficult to have well balanced relationship between teachers and students I think.
ReplyDeleteThis would be an absolutely friendly school for all students who enroll!
ReplyDeleteInteresting post, Fumiya. Indeed teachers should have positive and engaged relationships with their students, all the while maintaining a professional distance from them. That way the teacher will be able to better mentor their students. David :-)
ReplyDeleteTo teach students is incredibly difficult.
