A Reflection of Pandemics of the Past - Chien Nguyen
It is obvious that we have learned a world of knowledge in relation to the three most serious plagues that happened during human history such as the bubonic plague, the cholera epidemic, and the Spanish flu epidemic. From my perspective, the records of the death toll and the symptoms of these plagues were the two most impressive things to me. Perhaps, patients during this time had endured chronic pain and suffering due to the causes of these bacteria. Besides, there was a feeling of boredom and isolation covering their mind, then probably they wished they could die as soon as possible without facing this challenge anymore. Indeed, I am profoundly compassionate with them.
Therefore, these experiences about the enormous effects of these epidemics have become valuable lessons to prepare for future pandemics. The experience of the USA about the protection of the Spanish flu was a good example of that. So, we would never be subjective about any tiny bacteria or virus or about any symptoms and immediately treat them by creating a vaccine.
Finally, human beings in the second decade of the 21st century have been facing the Covid-19 pandemic. It is true to say that we have learned a wide range of useful lessons from this pandemic; accordingly, we did not have a similar reaction in the past. Instead, scientists rapidly created the vaccine to prevent the spread of this pandemic. In my opinion, it was a positive change we made. Besides, most global citizens are aware of the adversely severe effects of COVID-19 and have a public awareness to delete this plague by taking a vaccine dose. Hope it would be disappeared soon!
We can get positive effect from pandemics.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with your opinion!
ReplyDeleteI do believe that the covid19 pandemic was minimized with reference to past pandemics.
ReplyDeleteyes, it is not a problem only for people in the past. we need to think about that still now to prevent a tremendous impact such as the past.
ReplyDeleteit is crazy the fact that even the Covid outbreak was many years after the others plagues we studied in class, the way of facing them and prevent the contagious is the same: use vaccines, perfection hygiene and stay at home.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely. I was impressed by the speed of being invented Covid19 vaccine.
ReplyDeleteVaccination is integral part of sanitation.
ReplyDeletehow was your country situation during going around COVIT_19
