Pandemic of the Past Natsumi Iwamoto
Through learning about these three serious pandemics, what I was surprised at most was that the victims of the Spanish flu were more than people who were killed by the WWⅠ. Especially, In the U.S., the difference was as many as 6 times. To be honest, I couldn't believe that and I still can't now.
In my personal opinion, the bubonic plague was the most terrifying to face. That is because the symptoms were very frightening. For example, changing to black skin color, and patients would die within a few days. I would not be able to bear such these situations.
To prevent any pandemics, we need to be careful about sanitation and hygiene. Bacteria are likely to breed in filthy areas.
Even though people have suffered from plagues, they could find new things. For example, we could get a chance to review the method of education while we were in the covid 19 pandemic. we made up a system that students can take classes on demand. I believe this movement is meaningful for the future education system.
We need to learn from pandemics.
