Ilryeon Yun

 

My name is Ilryeon Yun, and I am from Osaka, Japan. My nationality is South Korea but I was born and raised in Japan, so I also have a Japanese name, Kazuha Hirayama. Currently, I am living in Tanner Rd, Glenleith near the Ross Creek Reservoir with the Henderson family.

 

I strongly feel Dunedin is a quite safe area and the scenery such as the stars and moon is so beautiful. In addition, almost all the Kiwi people are very friendly and kind. I think New Zealand’s dairy products are incredibly delicious, especially ice cream.

 

Ever since I first learned English in junior high school, it has been my favorite subject. It is so interesting for me to study, and I enjoy learning it.

 

The reason I am doing this course is because I am going to take undergraduate classes for the last three weeks.

 

I really like watching Netflix in my free time. Especially, I love Korean dramas, and “DESCENDANTS OF THE SUN” is my favorite one. This is a love story between a woman doctor and a soldier, and it makes me impressed. In contrast, I don’t like running though I like walking.

 

My good point is that I am curious and get along with people quickly, and my bad point is that I act before I think.

 

My goals are to improve my English skills and deep understanding of New Zealand culture.

    I think what you act before I think is your good point too. This is becouse, certainly sometimes you have to think deeply before you act, not all of us can ready for action. I like your these character and I respect you.

    Hi Kazuha, I think your bad point can be good point because some people do just thinking but sit and meditate. I cannot get along with people so I really respect you!

    Hi, I agree with your opinion because I think Dunedin is a peaceful area, too. Your picture is very nice. I hope you can stay comfortably in Dunedin ever.

I think that volunteering can enrich peoples live in different ways. Volunteering is a very good way for help people with real and biggest problem such as, lack of basic necessities, like food, health, education or a roof.  So, volunteering, makes you see you life in a different way, you realize that your problem are not as big as you thought it and you start to live a more relax and happy life. You face yours problems with a different attitude.  And at the same time you are helping people that really need it, so is a win - win.  Also, it may increase your self - confident and get out of your confort zone. In this way, I think people that do volunteering star to appreciate more theirs live and little things or actions that happens in it.  However, I think that volunteering is not for everyone.. I would like to do a volunteering some day.. I think would like to do something that involves animals life or health care.

  I think the world in 10 years time will have more AI and more professions that can work in place of humans.I expect that systems such as facial recognition will become more advanced, and people will be able to shop using facial recognition without wallets.  However, as this facial recognition system develops, there are problems of who will manage it and whether privacy will be properly protected.On the positive side, it makes it easier to prevent crime and find missing persons. Additionally, as I mentioned earlier, lives will be made more convenient.Therefore, it is impossible for me to say whether it will get better or worse.

 I believe the world will improve more and more because of the development of technology, whereas the environment will be getting worth. I think AI will improve more and more. For example, Al will be able to express their emotion in next revolution. I think the world will be better for human, but other animals and plants will receive a bad influence from next revolution. we have to keep my mind that our action effect on the environment.
