Nao Miyahara
My name is Nao Miyahara. I’m from Osaka, Japan. I’m 19 years old and live in Mornington with the Gutschlag family. I feel Dunedin is incredibly peaceful compared with other foreign countries, and the people who live in Dunedin are so kind. My favorite subject in high school was world history. This is because the history of France and German is extremely interesting to me. I am doing this course because I will study at university from the end of October. So, I have to prepare for more academic things here. I like watching movies and dramas. Especially, I like Korean dramas. The most exciting movie was Goblin. This is a love story, so I recommend it. On the other hand, I dislike reading books and running. Therefore, my least favorite class was the winter marathon because I don’t have enough strength. The reason why I don’t like reading books is that it takes a lot of time to finish reading, and it needs long concentration. The good thing about me is that I’m positive and optimistic, and the bad thing is that I’m indecisive. My goals are to improve my speaking skill and to get to know my host mother. My host mother likes cooking and baking, and I like making sweets too. so, I would like to cook something with her, and I want her to teach me how to make kiwi food because I would like to make kiwi food for my family after going back to Japan.
I didn't know you don't like reading and running. I like reading, so I can introduce some interesting books to you! Who is she in the picture? Very cute💓
ReplyDeleteHi, Nao. You use many adverbs in your introduction, so it is incredibly nice! I want to eat sweats made by you. Please give me someday :)
ReplyDeleteI was surprised this picture. Do you have a bird in Japan?
ReplyDeleteI like history and also read a lot of book about West countries. And I like French novel as well. Anyway I love marathon.haha.
ReplyDeleteThanks for introducing yourself. Do you have a bird or does your homestay family have one? What is its name?
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading about European history too. I am fascinated in the Byzantine Empiire, which lasted over 1000 years and was centred in Constantinople (which is now called Instanbul). I also like reading about the Medieval, Rennaissance and Reformation periods. Then as for English history, I am interested in the Victorian era and its art, architecture, literature, theology and ideas.
What eras of French & German history appeal to you?
David :-)
Thank you for sharing such great information Nao! I also love Goblin!!!💞 I think Dunedin is so safe, too
ReplyDeleteHi Nao, what a cute bird! What is its name? I also didn't like winter marathon because of same reason as you and it's too cold, isn't it?
